Postmates only sends text messages during a delivery to provide necessary updates. If you would like to stop receiving these transactional text messages, you must deactivate your account as outlined in Postmates’ Terms of Service.
You can deactivate your account in your account settings, by opening a Help Center ticket here, or by sending an email to sms-settings@postmates.com indicating that you no longer wish to receive any text messages, along with the phone number of the mobile device receiving the messages. You may continue to receive text messages for a short period while we process your request, and you may also receive text messages confirming the receipt of your opt-out request.
